Who I am

​    My name is William Venturelli and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon. I started Atma Counseling, because I feel that under the right therapeutic conditions, people are able to discover things about themselves and their lives that can lead to living more authentically. Witnessing this process is truly awe inspiring and I love having the opportunity to be a part of it. I hold a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University. I also hold an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Portland State.  
     I am a native Spanish speaker, and have conducted numerous sessions with Spanish as well as English speaking individuals, couples, and families. I have also worked in various community mental health agencies before starting Atma counseling.
      I am a member of the American Psychological Association, American Counseling Association and I serve on the board of directors of Existential-Humanistic Northwest; an organization promoting the values of Existential-Humanistic psychotherapy through education, training, and advocacy: ehnwpdx.org 
​      I enjoy seeing live music, futbol, reading, drinking coffee, and watching squirrels live with authenticity all over the city.
